| my critique of the kogi truck tacos: the guy who takes the order was really nice and friendly so big props to him! my favorite was the spicy pork taco. the pork was very flavorful and it all came together nicely. YUM!!! however, the short rib taco was a bit disappointing. the meat was overpowered by the acidity of the spiced veggies. i couldn't taste the meat at all. then theres the kimchi quesadilla. what can i say? it was a quesadilla with kimchi, nothing fantastic or really all that creative. oh and here's a thought i had about the short rib burrito. very tasty but how about using a sunny-side-up egg? you take a bite and the yolk flows down into the rest of the burrito. anybody see spanglish and the midnight sammich adam sandler made? i'm thinking something like that. ooh, grub!!! so to sum up, if the line isn't ridiculously long then it is very much worth trying the spicy pork taco. the rest of the food... eh, not so much. | | |
| you'd think we'd have time to relax but that is not to be. we're heading out to japan in a couple of weeks so we have much. meanwhile... here's a site to look at some of our wedding pictures: http://www.jabezphotography.com/#/155-the-odyssey-restaurant-kano-aki-wedding-photography-by-la-oc-ca-photographers/ our photographer was awesome. if anyones needs a good photographer, you should definitely consider him. you can get his info from the link above. i suppose the next step is kids. do i feel like i need to hurry? you bet your ass i do! haha! | | |
| so i went to see my acupuncturist friend... it was AMAZING!!! seriously. it was a bit uncomfortable cuz i really hate needles but it did the trick and i felt much better after the session. no more useless doctors for me. from now on i'm going to acupuncture! aw yeah!!! | | |
| orthopedic doctors are the most useless bastards EVER to exist! ok ok, thats a little harsh. let me re-phrase... nope nevermind i stand by my statement. i went to see one yesterday because lately my back hurts every time i go play golf. so he takes a few x-rays and his diagnosis... wait for it... just take some pain killers. WTF?!?! are you really saying this to me?!?! what the f*ck were the x-rays for? i would've had a few choice words for the doctor but was too dumbfounded to say anything. so i decided to go see my acupunturist friend this week to see if he can fix me. my first time with needles. i wonder if it'll hurt. a lil scared. lately i've been having problems sleeping. and because of that i'm always so tired. insomnia sucks! hmm... could it be pre-wedding jitters? so much on my mind and i can't even get one jumbled thought to solidify. i'm a complete mess. | | |
| what does that mean? it means... I'M GETTING MARRIED, FINALLY! when? i have no idea. haha. you know, i don't think the reality has hit me yet. it feels weird. i'm sure when i'm knee deep in wedding plans it'll sink in but for now i'm just kinda floating around somewhere. everyone asks "how did he propose?" and i can't seem to find the words to explain it. we went to buy the ring together so it wasn't a surprise. he just said, "ok, you can open it now." and that was it. it wasn't romantic, but i like to think it was totally us. and i'm happy so isn't that all that matters? btw, look look, isn't it pretty? just what i wanted. i love it!
